Alex Acevedo:  (El Paisano Vacano) Was born in Medellín, Colombia and grew up in the Los Angeles area. Since childhood he studied violin and piano and became interested in Colombian and Latin-American Folklore. He sings, composes and arranges. He plays six and twelve string guitar, bass, tiple,  piano, violin, mandolin, cuatriple and bandola. He is pictured here with a mandolin from Holland, one of his favorite instruments. His greatest contribution to the band is his great knowledge and ear for harmonics which can be appreciated trough-out the whole album.
